Big day- little girl
Mary received an early Christmas present from Nini and Papa at the MOA American Girl Doll store. Mary has been eyeing Kit for a very long time, and has proven herself ready to care for such a special doll. She is in love with Kit, and has even decided to start her own newspaper, just like Kit. Mary's reading Robin Hood to Kit, she changes her and brushes her hair; its love.

Small spaces, happy faces
Our kitchen has served thousands of meals to the little people. The kids have such fun paking onto the bench. Birthday parties, dinner parties, impromtu parties. The kids own this kitchen. I am going to miss it.

Finally, someone is 40!
To celebrate David Jones turning 40, Delphine hosted a wonderful surprise filled with yummy drinks and a divine dinner, complete with roasted oysters, the best mac-n-cheese, cornbread casserole and as always, the perfect salad. David was really surprised, especially when his gift arrived- a kayak from all his friends! The cake was an Aubourg special, a replica of Mt. Ranier, which DJ tackled last month. Who says 40 is over the hill? Only Clint who decided to take a nap in the middle of the party.

Ice Cream
Mary has nature's gift. She sees things that others might overlook. In particular, Mary has a relationship with bald eagles, seriously, as she would say. She can spot them and often does whether at Grass Lake near our house, or at Lake Harriet, as she did this particular morning. She's named it Ice Cream.
Ladies night
Cindy treated me and Kate to an overnight at The Depot downtown Friday night. It was such a treat. We had a lovely dinner, stayed up too late giggling and then enjoyed breakfast in bed! Such a treat- how lucky am I?

Quitting time
On Friday, November 6, after 7 years at Best Buy, Clint resigned. He's accepted a new job at Discovery Communication as the VP Marketing for Discovery Education, and we are moving back to the DC area. It is with such mixed emotion as this is home for us. All the kids have been born here and we have lifelong friends that we will miss terribly. So, instead of feeling sad, we decided to go out and celebrate. Dinner, drinks and dancing.... no better way!

THE REST OF THE EVENING HAS BEEN CENSORED.
